See which pages are slipping in Google.
Connect Search Console read-only and get your top 5 slipping pages free, each with a plain reason why it made the list. No WordPress, no card.
- 1 · Set up
- 2 · Access check
- 3 · Results
Takes about 3 minutes: 2 to add read-only access, then results in under a minute. We email them too.
Give us read-only access
- Open Google Search Console and pick your site (a Domain property like example.com, or the URL prefix one).
- Go to Settings → Users and permissions → Add user.
- Paste the address below, choose Restricted (read-only) and click Add.
Restricted users can only read reports. We can't change anything in Search Console or on your site. Remove the user any time.
Then tell us where to look
What do you look at?
The last 28 days against the 28 before, for every page with search data, checked against each page's usual level over the prior 90 days and against your whole site's trend. Pages with too little data, or with drops inside normal week-to-week noise, are left out instead of guessed at. Same rules as the weekly DecayQueue queue.
Do I need WordPress?
No. The check only reads Search Console. WordPress matters later, if you want DecayQueue to draft the refreshes for you.
Is a person looking at my data?
No. The check is automatic. Nobody reviews your results by hand.

We can't see your site's data yet
Add our read-only user, then leave this tab open: we check again automatically. Google sometimes takes a minute or two to apply a new user.
Still not working?
Make sure you add the user to the property that holds your site's data: the Domain property (example.com) covers every subdomain and http/https; a URL-prefix property must match exactly (https://www.example.com/). You need Owner rights in Search Console to add users. Questions: [email protected].
Reading 6 months of Search Console data for your site.
Access works. Ranking your pages now.
We compare every page's last 28 days with the 28 before and with its usual level, then leave out noise and site-wide dips. The results appear here and go to . You can close this tab.
Done.
Good news: nothing is clearly slipping on .
No page dropped by more than normal noise and more than the site overall. Pages with too little data are counted below rather than guessed at. Check again in a few weeks, or let the free trial watch it weekly.
Next step: let DecayQueue fix them
- Start the free trial with the same email. Your Search Console access carries over.
- Connect WordPress. Each week DecayQueue drafts refreshes for the top pages as WordPress drafts.
- Approve with one click. After about 6 weeks the lift report compares refreshed pages with untouched control pages.
Free until your first lift report: 1 site, up to 4 refreshes, no card.
Results sent to . Usually arrives within a minute.

What is content decay?
Content decay is when a page that used to bring in search traffic slowly gets fewer clicks: newer pages outrank it, the results page changes, or fewer people search for the topic. It happens gradually, so it is easy to miss until the traffic is gone.
How this checker finds it
Most free content decay tools ask you to export two CSV files from Search Console and compare them. This check reads Search Console directly, read-only, so there is nothing to export. It compares each page with its own usual level and with your whole site, so a site-wide dip or a normal weekly wobble doesn't show up as a slipping page.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account and no card. You usually see your top 5 slipping pages right here, and we email them to you too. The free trial shows the full queue every week.
Will refreshing these pages bring the traffic back?
Not always. A drop can come from fewer people searching or from changes to Google's results that a rewrite won't fix. That is why the check leaves out site-wide dips and noise, and why DecayQueue's lift report compares refreshed pages with untouched ones before calling anything a win.
